Interpreting at the CCIB for the Mexican government’s Tianguis de los Pueblos Mágicos

CGS Translations had the opportunity to interpret during the Tianguis de los Pueblos Mágicos de México at the CCIB. The gala dinner was organised by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism to showcase the gems of Mexican architecture, handicrafts and gastronomy to professionals from the tourism sector. During the event we interpreted from Spanish to English and vice versa for tourism agents from up to twelve different nationalities. The celebration started with a mariachi show during the aperitif, then the authorities of the Hidalgo region gave speeches to thank those in attendance, and finally, the guests enjoyed a fantastic dinner, hosted by the renowned chef Rita Sanchez and enlivened by a typical dance show.

Without a doubt, this formal but festive event opened the doors to the magic of what Mexican villages have to offer. We will have to travel to Mexico to see them!
